Inspired by the Acts 2 church, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone. Through our various ministries, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in our area.
Following the Example of the Acts 2 Church
The Acts 2 church is often seen as a model for Christian community and service. In the book of Acts, it is described as a community that was devoted to teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. They shared everything they had, took care of one another, and reached out to those in need. This example of selflessness and compassion serves as our guiding principle.
Just as the Acts 2 church did, we believe in the power of community and the importance of meeting both physical and spiritual needs. We understand that everyone faces different challenges and struggles, and it is our mission to provide support and assistance in any way we can.
Our Community Ministries
We have established several ministries that are designed to address a wide range of needs within the Richmond Kentucky community. Each ministry is staffed by dedicated volunteers who are passionate about making a difference. Here are some of the ministries we offer:
Food Pantry
Our food pantry is open to anyone in need of assistance. We provide nutritious food to individuals and families who are facing food insecurity. Our volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
Clothing Drive
In collaboration with local businesses and organizations, we organize clothing drives to collect gently used clothing items. These items are then distributed to individuals and families who may not have the means to purchase new clothes. We believe that everyone deserves to have access to clean and appropriate clothing.
Job Skills Training
We understand that finding employment can be challenging for some members of our community. That’s why we offer job skills training programs to help individuals develop the necessary skills and confidence to succeed in the job market. From resume writing to interview preparation, we provide comprehensive support to those seeking employment.
Children’s Education
We believe that every child deserves a quality education. Our children’s education ministry offers tutoring and mentoring programs to support academic success. We also provide school supplies and backpacks to ensure that every child has the tools they need to excel in school.
Senior Care
We value and respect our senior community members. Our senior care ministry offers companionship, assistance with daily tasks, and transportation services to help seniors maintain their independence and quality of life.
